Today marks the 13th Valentine's Day Andy and I have celebrated together. I've included my favorite love passage from the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8:Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
While we were dating, I bought a picture frame to use for one of our pictures together and it has this scripture imprinted on the front. When it was time for us to start thinking about what we wanted read at our wedding, I knew without a doubt it would be 1 Corinthians. This passage sums up our relationship as a couple. The great thing is that picture frame has made it through five moves and is now displaying a wedding photo on my classroom piano.
