Crawfish Boil - May 2010

We had a great time this weekend in Houston with my family. We celebrated Father's Day early (we will be in Louisiana for a wedding) with a crawfish boil. There were boiled crabs and shrimp, as well. Abby didn't want to eat any of it. Reagan, who is supposed to be the picky eater, surprised us and ate a few shrimp and some crab meat. She makes her momma proud. Here are some pictures of the trip. Enjoy!

Swim Time!

Andy inflated the swimming pools today and Abby was very excited to go swimming for the first time this year. Reagan was napping, but Andy woke her up so she could enjoy some of the fun. Here are some pictures of my little fishies.

Mother's Day 2010

Seven years ago on Mother's Day, I was expecting our first daughter, Abby. Then, three years later, I was pregnant with Reagan. I have some really sweet girls (mainly Abby, Reagan is sweet when she wants to be) and husband.

I woke up to a fresh pot of coffee and omelets. Abby made me a card and she wrote how much she likes and loves me. The girls gave me my Mother's Day gift, picked out by Andy, which was a Texas Tech tank and Willow Tree Sisters By Heart figurine. Lastly, we had lunch with Andy's parents at Beth and Ron's house. We ate steak with potatoes and green beans. It was a great day. I am truly blessed with such a wonderful family.

I thought it was fitting to include a song by Norah Jones in the scrapbook below since her first album was playing when I became a Mommy for the first time.

Abby's First Grade Program

Abby did such a great job in her first grade program Thursday night. It was a cute show all about Texas. Those close to Abby know how shy she is, and for her to stand up in front of an audience and say her line, "The Texas state large mammal," was a big accomplishment. I'm so proud of my introverted child!

I had to be up front with the first grade teachers for when it was my time to direct the kids singing Texas, Our Texas. So, Uncle Ron helped out and took some pictures of the star on stage. I had the perfect seat to catch the performance on video and one of our wonderful 1st grade teachers finished the recording while I conducted.

I've set the scrapbook to an old Alabama song. Enjoy!
